Liquids – Lemon Rice (Doomed to Live)
Liquids is just such a cool band. The Northwest Indiana punk group, fronted by ace Mat Williams, released Life is pain Idiot on their bandcamp page back in January. Thanks to Erik Nervous, who's responsible for recording the record, Liquids have never sounded better. I mean these songs sound ridiculously good to me. I love "Lemon Rice" because it's about my home state. In June, I saw them, along with XO's and Mock Execution, play at Dvorak Park in Chicago. It was one of the most fun gigs I've ever been to. During Mock Execution's set, Mat Williams joined the crowd and punched me in the gut. Isn't that awesome! Here is some footage from the gig.
